Celebrating the win
When was the last time you did something at work that was worth celebrating but nobody acknowledged it? That feeling of wanting to shout out to the world and tell them just how great you are because of the win you have achieved, yet there’s nothing?
Something we focus on at The Last Hurdle is celebrating the win. That time you get a sale or gain a new client…whatever seems appropriate to jump out of our seats and share it with the team. And why shouldn’t we?
Celebrating the win is important in business which why we do the Snoopy Dance whenever we have a success. Some of you may be familiar with it and some of you may not. Either way, the Snoopy dance is recognised by us as a business and is also something our clients now recognise in us too.
Even if you don’t have a Snoopy dance, it’s important to do something so that your success is remembered. Not only does it highlight the hard work is paying off but is also a great moral booster and reminds us all how good we are at our jobs! It adds a bit of laughter to your day and makes you feel good.
So whatever your business, think about what you can do to celebrate your win. In fact do you celebrate? If not, why not? We all need recognition, whether it’s for ourselves or for others. It re-emphasises what what we are doing is going well and that we are good at what we do.
It doesn’t need to be anything big, just something that you or your business recognises as an achievement and success. Even in competitive industries, we all work hard at what we do so why not celebrate it!
