Do you do them? If not, why not? Are we scared of personal rejection? Too busy flying here there and everywhere? Well ponder this…
Every time you fail to follow up on a quote, you might as well have not bothered. Every time you fail to follow up after a business meeting, you might as well not bothered to attend. Every time you fail to follow up after a networking meeting, you may as well have stayed at work. Seems a bit harsh, but it is approx 95% true.

Find it hard to remember to do your follow ups? I recommend utilising a CRM system, this will keep track of your complete sales pipeline and even schedule tasks in advance, you need never miss another Follow Up again!

I totally agree and regularly make this the topic of my one minute at networking. I use the ACT! CRM (mainly because we are an Accredited reseller for it – and it is good to practice what I preach) and I tend to follow up networking meetings by entering my business cards in the system and sending a quick contact email – or fulfilling the promise of passing on contact details if relevant.
